The Carlos Fernández Casado Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge that crosses the Barrios de Luna dams in León, Spain. Construction of the bridge began in 1981 and it opened to traffic in 1983. The Spanish engineer Javier Manterola designed the bridge, but the bridge is named after the Spanish engineer Carlos Fernández Casado. The bridge is 643 meters long, and has a main span of 440 meters. The bridge was the world's largest cable-stayed bridge between 1983 and 1986 and the largest bridge in Spain until the La Pepa Bridge in Cadiz opened in Cádiz in 2015.
