De Hef is a railway bridge in Rotterdam. The bridge was designed by Pieter Joosting and the bridge opened in 1927. The bridge is a lift bridge and is the first of its kind in Europe. De Hef was decommissioned in 1993 after it was replaced by the Willemsspoort tunnel
